Training Opportunities with EMAP

The Emergency Management Program (EMAP) is pleased to announce that its Assessor Training and Accreditation Manager courses will now be held at the Emergency Management Institute in Emmitsburg, Maryland. This means that state, local, regional emergency managers as well as emergency managers from state higher education institutions are eligible for stipends to cover travel and complimentary lodging from EMI.

Additionally, travel from Baltimore Washington Airport will be provided by EMI for registered participants. EMAP will host the first round of Assessor Training and Accreditation / Assessment Manager Orientation on March 15th-19th. Accreditation / Assessment Manager Orientation will be a- day and a half training on March 15-16 and the two- day assessor training will be held on March 18-19. Spots are still available for both classes, but time is running out to ensure that you receive a spot and your travel is funded. To apply to either of the two EMAP courses interested individuals must complete a FEMA Form 75-5, General Admissions Application with student signature and supervisor or sponsoring agency official and submit through the State emergency management training office via fax to the NETC Admissions Office at (301) 447-1658.
